Alibey's Konak

The oldest fully preserved konak (manor) in the central Rhodopes, built in the 18th and 19th centuries as the home and seat of local Ottoman rulers. It consists of three adjoining parts and has been a monument of national importance since 1964. After restoration in 2013 it became a training centre with accommodation, so the building is mostly seen from the outside.
