Chepelare and Mechi Chal Ski Area

A mountain town at the foot of Mechi Chal Peak (1,873 m), whose ski area has 12 runs with a total length of 20 km, including one of the longest in Bulgaria. A four-seat chairlift takes you to the top in 9 minutes, and since the 2016/17 season the area has been linked with Pamporovo. Outside winter the slopes are good for walking, and the town is home to the Rhodope Karst Museum.
