Rhodope Karst Museum

A museum in Chepelare opened in 1980 from the collection of the Studenets caving club, which explored nearly 200 Rhodope caves. It holds more than 4,000 specimens, including a complete cave bear skeleton, the jaw of a cave leopard and a bronze axe from Chaya Cave. There is also a mock cave that shows cave formations as they look in their natural setting.
