Smilyan Bean Museum

The Smilyan Beans and Rhodope Slippers ethnographic collection in the Smilyan community centre, where figures, panels and decorations are all made of beans. It holds a large panel made of 23,045 bean halves, each glued on by a different visitor, as well as traditional Rhodope slippers. The village also has a stone clock tower from 1864, the only one in the municipality.
