Pangalov House

A monumental three-storey house in Gorno Raykovo, built between 1856 and 1860 by master builder Harit Kisyov for the cloth merchant Pangalov. With its woodcarving and wall paintings it is considered one of the finest Rhodope houses and is a monument of national importance. The building is falling into disrepair and local people are calling for its restoration, so for now it can only be seen from the outside.
