The largest museum in the Rhodopes, devoted to the history and way of life of the mountains. Since 1983 it has been in the cultural complex in Nov Tsentar, next to the library and the art gallery.

Visiting

When
October to April: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. May to September: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 18:00. Monday is a cleaning day.
Prices
Adults 4.00 €; students and pensioners 2.50 €; children under 7 and people with disabilities free; family ticket (two adults and two children over 7) 10.00 €. Groups over 10 people: adults 3.00 €, students and pensioners 2.00 €. The permanent exhibition is free on the last Wednesday of every month. Guided tour: in Bulgarian 15.00 €, in English 20.00 €.
